The Rule fo the 14
Reason
As every grocer knows, many products have sell-by dates. Bread lasts a day or two, milk maybe a week. Well, presidential aspirants have a sell-by date, too. They last 14 years.
Herewith, Rauch's Rule. Actually, it was pointed out to me by a young political genius named—but I can't tell you his name, because he works in a government job and asked me to keep his name out of my article. Sadly, I must myself take credit for the Law of 14:
With only one exception since the presidency of Theodore Roosevelt, no one has been elected president who took more than 14 years to climb from his first major elective office to election as either president or vice president.
So see ya Dick, Al, Dennis, Joe, John. Sorry Carol... Don't let the door hit you ont he way out

CBS News | Dubious Letters From GIs In Iraq | October 13, 2003 11:06:00
"It makes it look like you cheated on a test, and everybody got the same grade," Grueser told Gannett.
The five-paragraph letter praises the U.S. effort in Iraq. For example, letters supposedly written by different soldiers showed up the Tulare (Calif.) Advance-Register and the Boston Globe within two days of each other last month. Here's how the letters describe - in identical language - the situation in Kirkuk, Iraq.

MSN Entertainment - News - Fresh Prince for President?
Jumping on the celebrity political bandwagon, Will Smith seems to think he could be the very first black president if he decided to go after the top spot in our country's government.

Why most Americans think Iraq is behind 9/11 - www.ezboard.com
The reason why 70% think Iraq was behind 911 is because this country is full of stupid, apathetic people. The Bushies know this and live off it.
Funny thing yesterday. I heard Hannity crowing about the"political earthquake" in California and how 70% of the people didn't want Gray Davis anymore and 70 % wanted Arnold and the GOP to take over. Then I thought about the 70% that think Iraq was behind 911.
It all became very clear at that point.
This country is full of idiots, and the Republicans and Democrats both like to feed on it. Right now, it is the Republicans who are at the trough the most.

Blog for America
You Knew It Was Coming
George W. Bush now has a campaign "blog".
So Lemme get this straight, the Bush campaign starts a blog where Bush supporters / detractors aren't allowed to comment on campaign news, They aren't allowed to trackback the BS, there is only the option of linking to the "news" or emailing it to a friend.
Right. Pompous, Crass, telling truths straight from his ass... Just the guy I want in office again -- Not.

USATODAY.com - Israel attacks Islamic Jihad base in Syria
Israeli warplanes bombed Syria on Sunday, striking what the military called an Islamic Jihad training base in retaliation for a suicide bombing at a Haifa restaurant. It was the first Israeli attack deep inside Syrian territory in three decades.
So tell me, what did the Iraqi war accomplish?
It heightened tensions in teh Middle East as nay-sayers expected, it gave Israel this thinking it coudl do anything it wanted, it also put your kids and grandkids deeper into debt because the cost outweighs the benefits (is rebuilding iraq cheaper than containing Saddam as well as we had?)...
Thanks to the Bush Administration and Conservative think tanks - who know nothing about being conservative.
Saddam should have shopped here
This would have been SO much simpler for him
At any rate, I heard that the Kay report came to one conclusion and one conclusion alone - despite having millions invested in trying to produce Chemical and Biological weapons
Saddam Hussein couldn't get shit in more than a decade. He was contained 0 and he was incompetant in trying to achieve his goal Great job securing the world from idiots, George... Speaking of which, aren't you due to be disposed of in a few months?
