Right, left, or Bush-Lite?
Columns: Attacks on Dean may leave voters dizzy
Think about it - the two Democratic presidential candidates who are the talk of the party are a former small-state governor who is being tagged as George McGovern on foreign policy and as Newt Gingrich on Medicare, and a retired Army general who voted for Nixon, Reagan and probably George W. Bush. That says a lot about the other eight candidates, especially the four senators and two congressmen in the contest. If Clark's entry shakes up the race and slows Dean's surge, as many Democrats are hoping, it will be less a rejection of Dean's candidacy than a vote of no confidence in the Washington Democrats in the race.
As I like to describe certain sport teams, this is incompetence meeting ineptitude -- Clark's candidacy and Dean bashing by proposing he is far to either side of the spectrum.

Impressive...
From TIME Magazine...
The Justice Department has opened a preliminary inquiry into whether a Bush Administration official illegally revealed the identity of a CIA employee whose husband criticized the Administration's handling of intelligence on Iraq, TIME has learned. The probe will determine whether to order a full-fledged FBI investigation.
The CIA triggered the Justice inquiry with a memo saying that there may have been an unauthorized disclosure about the wife of Joe Wilson, a former U.S. ambassador. Columnist Robert Novak wrote in July that Wilson's wife was a CIA "operative" who suggested that he be sent to Niger to investigate intelligence that Saddam Hussein was trying to buy a large volume of Niger's yellowcake uranium to build a nuclear weapon.
Wilson found no evidence that Saddam was seeking yellowcake — the International Atomic Energy Agency later determined this was probably untrue — but the CIA and National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice failed to fully vet the intelligence and President Bush used it in his State of the Union Address this year. After Wilson wrote an op-ed over the summer criticizing the Administration's handling of the intelligence about Saddam's weapons of mass destruction progam, Novak wrote that "two administration officials" told him Wilson's wife had suggested sending him to Niger to investigate.
The CIA is required to notify Justice if it believes there may have been an unauthorized disclosure. The notification was first reported Friday by MSNBC. The White House has denied being a source of any story about Wilson's wife.
CIA and Justice spokespersons declined comment, but an Administration official told TIME that the Justice is conducting a preliminary inquiry to "determine whether or not there should be an investigation" by the FBI.
Wilson would not discuss his wife and said he knew nothing about any investigation. But, he said, "It was clear to me from the beginning that this was really done as a signal to others who might step forward,” to criticize the Administration's handling of intelligence on Iraq.
...ah but the Justice Department would do well to remember that THIS Administration CARES about security, CARES about members of the armed services, CARES about the American citizen, so therefore, when this administrations commits BLATANT TREASON and jeopardizes not only one of it's intelligence agents, but the work the CIA is doing all over a petty pissing contest, well then of course there must be some justification for it and we should all just shut up and support them no matter what.
Right, FOX?

Leave it to the AUsies to find the Truth
NEWS.com.au | Journo claims proof of WMD lies (September 23, 2003)
A television report by Pilger aired on British screens overnight said US Secretary of State Colin Powell and National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice confirmed in early 2001 that Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein had been disarmed and was no threat.
But after the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington on September 11 that year, Pilger claimed Rice said the US "must move to take advantage of these new opportunities" to attack Iraq and claim control of its oil.
Pilger uncovered video footage of Powell in Cairo on February 24, 2001 saying, "He (Saddam Hussein) has not developed any significant capability with respect to weapons of mass destruction. He is unable to project conventional power against his neighbours."
Two months later, Rice reportedly said, "We are able to keep his arms from him. His military forces have not been rebuilt."
Powell boasted this was because America's policy of containment and its sanctions had effectively disarmed Saddam.
There's more to it than this -- Rummy and the Militans in DC wanted to use 9-11 to settle all accounts - attacking Iraq immediately and not going after the source of the terrorism, Osama Bin Laden.
Nice guys, those Bush Administration lackey's -- indebt your children to no end and sell fools around the country on the idea that we're doing a good thing after we HAD been doing it all along, and a lot cheaper, since the gulf war -- disarming and containing Saddam Hussein.

Blog for America
The LA for Dean people are encouraging everyone to ask telemarketers who call to sign up for Dean.
Well, that's an interesting take on everything... Of course, someone on Slashdot once accused Dean's campaign of spamming - this could be considered the same (of course, not by me :) )

So when's the war against our oil-ally?
Crosswalk.com - Nervous Saudis Seeking Nuke, Report Says
According to plans leaked to The Guardian newspaper, the Saudis are considering one of three defense options in an ongoing strategic review. They include entering into a protective alliance with a current nuclear power; negotiating a regional agreement for a nuclear-free Middle East; or obtaining a nuclear capability as a deterrent.
Oooh! Ooh! Rummy! Condi! Colin! Dubya! When's the war start? When's the war start?!??
Either nothing will become of this because it's swept under the rug (it's our Ally after all -- even thoughtye support terrorism) or .. well, what else is possible under the most corrupt American government since... well, since Clinton

Bushshit and more Bushshit
VOANews.com
A senior official in Iraq's new science ministry says the country never revived its nuclear program after U.N. inspectors dismantled it in the 1990's.
Abbas Balasem, an official of the new U.S.-backed administration in Baghdad, said Tuesday Iraqi scientists had no way to re-start the program because the inspectors took away all the necessary resources.
So that yellowcake uranium is truly proven to be bullshit... OK, lets move on to another quote from the same article:
Meanwhile, U.S. National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice said the Bush administration had never accused ousted Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein of being involved in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States.
U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld also said there was no indication of Iraqi involvement in the attacks. A recent Washington Post poll said more than two-thirds of Americans believe the ousted Iraqi leader was involved.
Lemme get this straight -- Bush has gone on the record as has other memebers o fthe Bush administraiton, telling the American People about Al Qaeda and Iraq ties since after 9-11 and these two assholes come out of the woodwork to dispute their own claims?
This reminds me of the Brady Bunch... "Exact words, mom and dad! Exact words! " Exact words -- they never said 9-11 was from Hussein's doing... Exact words were just associating the two in order to use smoke and mirrors to get their will accepted by Americans.
What's the deal with Updates????
Where the hell have I been? WHere's Toe? Where's the rest of the guys that used to show up on here?
Well, you may or may not know KillTheWeb.com went back to it's original format with links submitting by people -- strange links and what not. The Blog is still alive for the time and may be included into the new site concept but what continues to be posted on here -- well, it may be different than our politics / news orientated reporting that has gone on.
There's plenty in the enws that we could have poked fun at or commented on or expressed disgust in -- but alas, it just hasn't happened (I had an operation, Toe's been busy with GWbush04.com and Deanfilter.com, and the others -- they are just plain missing)....

The Mayan Calendar: The World will Not End
****According to Mr. Barrios' reading of the Mayan calendar, if war happens in November 2002 or after, then it's bad, but not catastrophic. But if it happens between April and November 2003, it will be catastrophic. Really bad. It could eventually result in the death of two-thirds of humanity. "So stay active," he said. "If we are active, we can transform the planet. The elders watch to see what happens."****
I don't know -- this might be new age crap to most people but it just chills me with hwo the Bush administration is and how we seem to be on the brink right now... Maybe this is true?

Real late Paul Hill complaint
Just why does some shithead think he can go and die and get sent to heaven for committing murder, which is a sin, in the first place?
He thinks he's better than the other murderers because he was trying to prevent murder by murdering? Give me a fucking break...
Now, on another note -- welcome to Kill the Web, sorry we've been so quiet lately.
