Doctor Dean vs. the Special interests
"Tricky" Dick Cheney is going to be raising 250 thousand dollars by having dinner with some special interests on Monday....
Doctor Dean is trying to raise that much money by Midnight monday through internet based contributions.
...And he's already taking in 162 thousand dollars

Ann Coulter and Why men need viagra
When cute women are able to spew pieces of garbage like this (in or out of context
), no man on earth is able to find the strength in his member....
...and may be compelled never to have it again.
Thank you, Ms. Coulter, for killing off the sex drive in men everywhere.

Just to remind....
I'm not arguing some extreme leftist position, but I would like to point out some straight up lies that the Bush administration has been caught in. These are so obvious that it doesn't take a brain to figure it out.
September 2002 - White House claims Iraq can launch a WMD attack within 45 minutes:
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/rele...0020926-19.html
July 2002 we find out the White House didn't seek CIA approval before making such claims (they were just seeking reasons to go to war without checking the facts):
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tm...=1802&ncid=1478
---
Bush openly claims that weapons inspectors were not allowed in, so we had no choice "We gave [Saddam] a chance to allow the inspectors in, and he wouldn't let them in. And, therefore, after a reasonable request, we decided to remove him.":
http://www.freep.com/news/nw/iraq15_20030715.htm
This is the same man, the President of the United States, who is making the decision to go to war, who made the ultimatum to pull inspectors out after they were allowed in:
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003...ain544280.shtml
Excuse me, but how do you conveniently forget these facts barely 4 months after the fact? Come on! If a man like Bush can't understand basic facts about invading a soveriegn nation, what the hell is going on?

The Bush Administration: Broadening the Horizons...
of how far they'll go to protect their "image"
Story
Pop quiz, hotshots...which is more important, following federal law regarding the security of undercover intelligence agent's identity and working towards eliminating Weapons of Mass Destruction, or getting a little revenge of the "nanny, nanny, boo-boo" type against former gov't employees willing to tell the truth?
If you picked revenge, congratulations, you may already be a Bush Admin employee. If so...screw you.

Dean remains on the offensive
Howard Dean offered some strong criticism of President Bush and the Bush Administration today as it was learned that Bush and Co (or someone in the White House, at least) insisted that the nuclear claims remained inside the State of the Union address.
Scare tactics, it would seem.
Howard's not very happy about this and he is calling for the end of the evasive maneuvers as are several democrats in Senate (hats off to those standing up and crying foul).
It still makes me wonder -- what was Bush and Co trying to achieve with Iraq that they had to distort, manipulate and alter facts in order to sell the public and the world on war? Was Oil that much of a concern to them? Or was there other political motives besides the New Ameerican Century plan?
Come on, Ari...
...it's not like you were trying to create a definition of "sex"
"Russell Mokhiber: Q: It's actually a broad, philosophical question: is the President okay with taking money from convicted criminals?
MR. FLEISCHER: I informed you that the President does not take money from corporations of any type.
Q Well, as titular -- as titular head of the Party, it's okay with the Party taking money from convicted -- or shouldn't, for example, Enron --
MR. FLEISCHER: Russell, I just have to differ with your notion that because a company has been fined, that that makes a company --
Q They pled guilty to crimes -- they pled guilty to crimes.
MR. FLEISCHER: Even so, that that company -- and I don't know what specifically you're referring -- that that company is a convicted criminal.
Q If you plead guilty to a crime, you're a criminal."
Riffing on NeoCons...
If you read the Tampa Tribune, sometimes you love Daniel Ruth and sometimes you want to slap the hell out of him...which is why I trust the guy completely. Anyone I always agree with is just kissing my rump, and anyone I always disagree with is just trying to stir things up...
Anyway, one of the values I espouse is that action speaks louder than words, which is something that the Bushies and their acolytes would like us to forget. In their world, contemptible actions are okay as long as you say the right things. The scary part is that a lot of people apparently feel it's okay to be the Commander In Chief despite being a deserter from that same military. Or that it's cool to give lectures about values and morals while having extramarital affairs...
The list could go on and on, but Ruth has a moment of clarity and positions himself in the corner of common sense with his column here.

How long before the mud slinging begins?
I'm bothered... I mean, really bothered.
There is one thing that the Bush family has always been strong with and a big believer of and that's mud-slinging in order to further put fear in the voters eyes. G.H.W. Bush did it with Michael Dukakis in 1988, he tried it again with Bill Clinton in 1992. Jeb Bush did it with Bill McBride well before he McBride was even a known candidate....
That being said, Bush is taking a lot of shots from the likes of Dean, Kerry, Edwards and Co and I think it will be sooner than later when we start hearing and seeing Bush's camp starting to smear the candidates...
...and smearing them won't be just smearing them, it will be digging up whatever questionable offense there is and having someone in the press report it in order to create uproar.
Just some random thoughts form the random guy that ends up writing too much in here

The heat is ON
The Bush Administration is feeling it from all directions right now.
Donald Rumsfield lied before a senate committee this week with regards to when the Bush administration found out their Nuclear claims were false is just the start of this dandy little show.
Colin Powell is busy doing damage control saying that President Bush's State of the Union false accusations was "an honest mistake"...
Meanwhile, on the side of the ball -- the progressives, the liberals, the Democrats and the Greens are finally waking up from what appears to be a 10 year slumber (when they lost the house of represenatitives to the Republicans) and are on the offensive over this. Most vocal, of course, are the presidential contenders. Howard Dean being the most blunt, by first providing a timeline of deciteful tactics by the Bush Administration over this Nuclear claims and then by releasing a public statement, going so far as encouraging (if not demanding) the resignations of those who fed the president with false information (view the candidates hyperlink for exact quotes).
You know, I said a few weeks ago that I was hoping the media would get on Bush's back much like they did with Clinton and that terrible period of media during the impeachment proccedings. That may not be very far from the truth if the pressure keeps getting laid on Bush and Co.
US Revises reasoning for Iraqi War -- Again
A changed perspective after 9-11 is what caused the war, not WMD threats
"The coalition did not act in Iraq because we had discovered dramatic new evidence of Iraq's pursuit of weapons of mass murder," Mr. Rumsfeld testified yesterday before the Senate armed services committee.
"We acted because we saw the evidence in a dramatic new light, through the prism of our experience on 9/11."
Does this make anyone else sick? It does to me...

Extremely Special Session looking likely
Great job, Jeb, great job...
It looks like the state legislature might have to be called back for another special session because Jeb Bush couldn't keep his mouth shut and instead of trying to find common ground, attacked his fellow Republicans in the state senate for not conforming to his 250 thousand dollar limit on malpractice awards.
Seeing my last article was satire, I find it sad - extremely sad - that an Extremely Special Session seems to be in the works for the future because Jeb will not have it any other way. It's his way or no way... Unless the voters approve it, that is.

Flawed Origin - the Bush Administration
The White House came clean over the last few days and admitted that President Bush's Uranium claims in the State of the Union address in January were from "A flawed origin."
Gee, they came out of Dubya's own two lips, ya think there's a tie there between flawed origins?

Extra Extra Special Session in Florida
Jeb Bush will institute the Extra Extra Special Legislature Session later this week in Florida for the sake of getting his way on Medical Malpractice Insurance. The Extra Special Legislative Session preceded this and the Special Legislative session which both followed the standard State Legislative session.
State Representative and Bush-Bitch Johnnie “The Libertarian” Byrd has lobbied for a Extremely Special Session to follow this current Extra Extra Special Session and threatened to do everything in his power to bring about the Extremely Special Session – Including singing Folk Songs for the entire Extra Extra Special Session’s duration, which is costing state tax payers an estimated 40 thousand dollars a day as is.
“It’s a great day for me!…Um, I mean Florida! Yeah! It’s a great day for Florida Corporations…er, I mean For Florida – period!”

Be careful what you wish for, Rove
Karl Rove, George W. Bush's chief political advisor, was quoted ina Washington Post article:
As a dozen people marched toward Dana Place wearing Dean for President T-shirts and carrying Dean for America signs, Rove told a companion, " 'Heh, heh, heh. Yeah, that's the one we want,' " according to Daniel J. Weiss, an environmental consultant, who was standing nearby. " 'How come no one is cheering for Dean?' "
Note to Mr. Rove: Be careful what you wish for you shit, you might just get it.

U.S. offers $25 million reward for Saddam
Your tax dollars at work:
The United States is offering a $25 million reward for information that either leads to the capture of Saddam Hussein or confirms that the former Iraqi leader is dead, U.S. officials announced Thursday.
If this is how the most powerful military in the world has to achieve it's primary mission objectives, then why didn't we just do this sooner? Why did we need a whole big war, anyway?
I love this part of the CNN article:
The reward is being offered through the State Department's Reward for Justice Program, which seeks to prevent acts of terrorism against the U.S., and pays rewards for information leading to the arrests and/or convictions of terrorists attempting or committing acts against U.S. interests.
Not to rain on the parade, but how exactly is Hussein a terrorist attempting or committing acts against U.S. interests?
Anyway, let's not lose focus on the ball here. Capturing him or confirming his death is moot at this point. The questions are: Are our guys going to keep getting attacked over there? How is that whole "democracy thing" coming? Is this still making Americans safter from terrorism? Who's oil is it?
One useless bad-guy's head on a stick might not really be the solution to all our problems.
Iraqi Militants to Bush: 'It already been broughten'
Whoops. Who could have predicted this?
At least 10 American soldiers have been wounded in attacks on Thursday in Iraq, according to U.S. military officials.
Support the troops. Send them help.
Bush lies, people die.

Bush to Iraqi Militants: 'Bring Them On'
President Cowboy is back on the case:
President Bush on Wednesday had a tough message for Iraqi militants attacking U.S. troops -- "Bring them on" -- and said the U.S. military presence was sufficient to deal with the attackers.
"There are some who feel like that conditions are such that they can attack us there," Bush told reporters at the White House. "My answer is bring them on. We have the force necessary to deal with the situation."
I'm not sure how he's supposed to feel when the next solider dies after making this kind of statement. I'd feel pretty awful for the kid's family, but I have a soul.
Tell me again why people think that Republicans are pro-military.
