Rats deserting a sinking ship?

Oh, that title sure was mean…. But I can’t help but invoke that image when I see the latest news: Colin Powell will not be returning to the George W. Bush Administration if they are re-elected.

Powell has sparred with the administration over policies and plans and that he didn’t want to quit earlier, even though the Administration didn’t think he was “with them”.

Yet influence of his choice was supposedly from his wife…. Which reminds me of 24 Season 1
