MoveON Windfall
There was a reported piece in The St. Petersburg Times Ed/Op section today (by way of the Washington post, where it originally appeared) that said the winner of www.moveon.org’s endorsement may see a 30 million dollar campaign windfall.
MoveOn.Org is the leading prgressive organization out there, as readers will know. With their primary coming up (and more likely until they do make an endorsement selection) it could be a jold to the Bush campaign if a democrat gets solid financial backing through grass roots activism.

Damn, I'm unable to find a link to that. Do you have one?
Anybody see how Gephardt's campaign have some sour grapes about the whole MoveOn.org thing, and the huge support that Dean already seems to have? Here's an official as quoted in an AP story:
--
"We are not going to change our participation at this point, but we are concerned that the process seems to be rigged," said Erik Smith, a spokesman for the presidential campaign of the Missouri lawmaker. "We think there is a legitimate role for MoveOn to organize grass-roots support for candidates, but we are worried that it appears they are playing favorites."

And here's Dean's reponse:

I'll see if I can find it. The Times ends up printing articles that aren't avalible online for the Ed/Op section at times, but these articles were sometimes published in other newspapers at earlier dates...
I'll get the URL and edit the story to include the link when I get it
The URL is now posted -- the link is to the Washington Post
